Automotive Technology Show

The Automotive industry continues the ongoing transformation of the automobile from a product that is mainly hardware-based to a software-centric electronic device on wheels.

Passenger cars today can have up to 150 million lines of software code, distributed among as many as 100 ECUs and a growing array of sensors, cameras, radar and light detection and ranging devices.   Three influential trends, "electrification", "automation" and "connectivity", all reshape customer expectations and drive manufacturers to increasingly turn to software to address them.

Automotive Technology Show 2026

Where ADAS / Autonomous Driving engineering meets data-driven validation.

Two focused days on scenario-based testing, Euro NCAP 2026 readiness, ASAM OpenX/OpenLABEL interoperability, HiL raw-data replay and SDV compute pipelines.

Show Trends for 2026

High-Quality Datasets & Virtual Validation
Reliable datasets and standardized simulation frameworks remain the backbone of ADAS/AD development. The focus shifts from data quantity to quality, traceability, and interoperability between data management and validation platforms.

AI-Generated Corner Cases
Automated edge-case generation using AI accelerates robustness testing and shortens validation loops. Integration into HiL and simulation workflows becomes key for scenario diversity and reproducibility.

Collaborative & Cooperative Perception
Vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure perception enhances safety and redundancy. The next wave of validation will emphasize synchronization, trust, and data integrity across fleets.

Trustworthy and Explainable AI
OEMs and suppliers must ensure transparency and accountability in machine-learning pipelines. Explainability, traceable data origins, and automated auditability become regulatory expectations.

Tele-Operation & Remote Assistance
As Level-4 systems mature, tele-operation serves as a critical fallback for complex environments. Seamless connectivity, latency management, and human-in-the-loop control are emerging test priorities.

Zonal & Central Compute Architectures

Migration toward zonal architectures drives new requirements for data routing, timing, and validation. Deterministic communication and modular compute verification will dominate system testing strategies.

Euro NCAP 2026 Readiness

The upcoming Euro NCAP protocols demand harmonized data pipelines, virtual testing, and KPI traceability. Collaboration between data management, HiL, and AI teams will define competitive readiness.

Regulation & Data Sovereignty
Evolving standards (UNECE R155/R156, national data strategies, OpenX frameworks) require integrated compliance. Companies that manage secure, standardized data flows gain clear market advantage.

In-Vehicle Networks

Popular automotive networking technologies includeAutomotive Ethernet, which is quickly replacing other popular automotive networking technologies such as CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and DDR.

Standards & Compliance

ASAM OpenODD, OpenSCENARIO, UNECE R155/R156, Euro NCAP Virtual Testing

Embedded Systems

ECU development, and platform archetypes for SDVs.

Software & DevOps

CI/CD, DevSecOps, cloud-native approaches, OTA/SOTA, and SaaS models for continuous software evolution.

Validation & Compliance

Software testing, toolchains, electromagnetic compatibility, and adherence to ASAM and automotive software standards.

Connectivity & Experience

Connected vehicle services, 5G and beyond, in-vehicle UX, personalization, and data exchange frameworks.

ABOUT

The automotive industry understands that the vehicle-centricity of the past is no longer enough to excite their users. Instead, vehicles will become a part of software and service platforms that span all aspects of consumer mobility.

Therefore OEMs are at a critical moment. They need to decide how they want to act in the new competitive landscape of the technology driven industry and how to capitalize on new profit pools. OEMs must select their control points to secure the position they aspire to.

OEMs are clear about the need to transform.

The Automotive Technology show aims to unite the industry, share technology, provide guidance, and discuss the industry's key steps to successfully handle the transformation.

Socializing with Peers

Networking Opportunitys

Due to the central location of Sinsheim to several major automotive players, the event offers a great place to meet experts and peers.

During the event there will be many Networking Functions. A full program will be available to all delegates just a few months ahead, with a detailed speaker agenda, and any networking functions by the event organiser along with those provided by sponsors and partners.

We are happy to support organisations who wish to host private or public events in and around Automotive Technology Show.

What to Do

Sinsheim & Heidelberg

Sinsheim combines technology, sport and science with history, relaxation and nature. Where else can a visit to the Concorde be so easily combined with a visit to the Climate Experience Site or a Bundesliga match? In addition like Heidelberg the city offers a medieval castle surrounded by vineyards.

Heidelberg historic centre is a renowned cultural spot and home to one of Europes leading university's, the town and its enchanting riverbanks is just a 30 minute train ride from Automotive Technology Show.
